MLM Defense Programs in IL, IA, MN, PA and VA.

Minnesota Lawyers Mutual offers defense firms and lawyers discounts if they belong to the following defense groups: (Please make sure to indicate membership on your application or renewal)

Iowa Defense Counsel Association
Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association
Pennsylvania Defense Institute
Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel
Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys

Defense Program Highlights

Additional defense costs of 50% of limits up to a maximum of $250,000 above the policy limits
Increased supplementary payment cap raised from $5000 to $10,000
Aggregate deductible (this caps the amount that the insured will have to pay in total deductible for any policy year)

These policy enhancements are available to "qualifying" group member firms. To qualify, member firms are required to have Defense group membership as follows:

1-4 firm members: 75% defense group membership
5-10 firm members: 50% defense group membership
11-20 firm members: 33% defense group membership
21 and above firm members: 25% defense group membership

In addition, MLM offers defense firms premium savings in two ways (these price savings are available irrespective of the percentage of defense group membership in the firm):

Up to a 25% premium discount for firms meeting the Defense Program eligibility requirements
A 5% individual premium discount for any defense group member covered by an MLM LPL Policy
